The room was extremely nice, super clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic and the location perfection. We enjoyed being so close to all the town has to offer and above the restaurant was a real pleasure. The family that runs the business is friendly and helpful. We were surprised how quiet the room is, you don’t hear anything-amazing soundproofing. Bonus for the strong air conditioning and fabulous shower. We wish we booked a longer stay!

We had a lovely stay at L’Ancora! The owner was the most friendly one with exceptional will to serve customers. Location was perfect: it was quiet and peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. The room and the whole building was perfectly clean. This place has a soul that makes your stay unforgetable. We had a room with a view in to the ocean, and eating breakfast by the window was lovely way to start the day. I definately recommend getting the room by the sea.

We loved everything about this apartment. The nice man who met us spoke perfect english and was very helpful indeed. We arrived earlier than planned but were still able to access the apartment almost immediately. The apartment has excellent facilities and was very clean. The best part is the balcony which is big enough to sit on to eat a meal and has the most incredible sea view. The apartment is right in the centre of Portovenere and everything - restaurants, ferries (we visited the Cinque Terre), supermarket etc are all within easy walking distance. We hope to return.
