The house manager (Martina) was an excellent hostess. She was very attentive to looking after my room and ensured that everything was looking its best. The room was clean and warm and was of a high standard. Access to the hotel is very convenient and guests can come and go as they please.
The hotel is located in central Donnybrook and is well served by regular bus services both to Dublin City and also to places such as Dun Laoire, Bray and DART services.

We loved the hotel, very well run by the family that own it. In a beautiful location well situated in terms of nearby public transport.

Hilary was very welcoming and checked to see if our room was ready early which is was. This allowed us to drop our bags off and freshen up in the hotel room earlier than expected so we could go out and explore Dublin. We have stayed here once before and both times have been fab as they cannot do enough for you. Hilary showed us lots of different pubs and restaurants to go to which was very helpful.

We had the most wonderful stay at Ariel House for our anniversary! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the cozy, stunning interiors. The Victorian charm paired with modern touches created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our room was beautifully decorated, and we felt right at home the entire time.
What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the incredible staff. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special. From thoughtful little surprises to personalized touches, they really made us feel like VIPs. It’s clear that the team at Ariel House genuinely cares about their guests’ experiences.
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our special day. Highly recommend!

Hotel staff very accommodating! Allowed us to check in slightly early/check out slightly late which we were so grateful for! Room was lovely, nice decor and a good amount of space. Facilities were brilliant (Fridge, crockery etc) with a few freebies thrown in (Water, juice, muffins) which was such a lovely touch :) Would defo recommend staying here!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location, rooms are very clean. On a budget it was excellent value right in the city centre in walking distance to everywhere. It was quiet considering the location and we had young children with us
A very pleasant hostel. Quiet, very comfortable bed, nice communal area and view of the city from the balcony. Good atmosphere. Helpful staff. The location is in an old part of the city, a residential area with interesting shops and cafes. No traffic noise at night because the hostel is on a very quiet residential street. Within walking distance of Heuston train station (about 10 mins) and also within walking distance of the city centre but there are also bus stops nearby.
The apartment was fabulous, quiet street and stunning building with a lot of history. Our host was pleasant, professional & courteous. The city centre is within 10/15 min walking distance. Parking is available outside the building, at a cost. We were delighted to be able to bring our dog who was also made very welcome.
It is a quaint Cottage in a great location for where I needed to get to. The host is charming and very pleasant to deal with who knows the importance of communicating with guests. Thank you for that.
I was working most of the time so only really used the place to sleep but it was a comfortable and
"Cosy" stay. There were some really thoughtful touches: a welcome card ( hand written!), tea and coffee, condiments and even a little handy first aid tin - loved that!
GREAT hostel! Right by the second stop from the Dublin express and you are immediately in the Temple Bar area. The hostel is quiet and clean and there is staff 24/7 in case you need anything. Perfect for solo female travellers! Also great location if you plan on doing bus tours throughout Ireland as most bus pick up locations are within a 10 minutes walk. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. Very easy to get the dart train straight into the city centre.
