Roza's guest house, hotel in Mestia

Featuring mountain views, Roza's guest house offers accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar, around 1.3 km from Museum of History and Ethnography.

It was our second time at Roza’s. We arrived in pouring rain and were received with a warm welcome, hot tea and pastry. The room (shared bathroom) was very clean and cozy and the beds were super comfy. We could even do our laundry in the morning and let it dry on the line while we went for another hike. Can’t recommend Roza’s enough. We had a perfect stay. Didi madloba!!

Garden House Mestia, hotel in Mestia

Featuring a patio with garden views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Garden House Mestia can be found in Mestia, close to Museum of History and Ethnography and 2.8 km from Mikhail Khergiani House...

One of the rare accommodations in Mestia where you do NOT need to climb up extremely steep paved streets to get there. Instead, you walk modest 10 - 15 minutes (not 5, as other people mentioned) horizontally to the the town center. Yet absolutely quietly located close to the western fringe of Mestia. Beautiful woodwork, good bathroom. Very friendly owner. Good breakfast, too. Bonus: The best restaurant in Mestia (and the second best in Georgia during our 7-destinations-3-weeks-itinary) turned out to be amidst the Great Caucasus in Mestia, right where all the taxis and marshrutki depart, and it is named Lile. Same menu like everywhere in Georgia, but the staff at the Lile definitely know how to cook these dishes VERY well.

There are very kind and helpful hosts. The dinner and the breakfast were tasty and delicious. Many of the raw materials for the food (incl. milk, cheese and wine) are grown and produced by the family. The room had a good view and was comfortable. Some artifacts from family history can also be seen in the dining room/lounge.

Irma and her son are incredible hosts! They are so friendly, kind hearted people 🥰 The guest house perfectly located near the city center, room is spacious, new and sparkling clean and also has balcony. Irma helped us and booked us a tour to Ushguli and amazing Shkhara glacier. We also used a laundry room (and a dryer) which was a necessity after hiking and lovely kitchen, where we made our own breakfast. There is a huge terrace on top of the house, where you can spend evening with a great view

Maybe the room is not the most modern one but it is clean and comfortable. Close to the city center, quiet and a parking place. A nice garden and a kitchen. But above all, the host family is great, friendly and welcoming. They gave valuable advice about what to do in the region. And that’s far more important than a more modern room.

Great location, very friendly hosts. Rooms with private bathrooms. Fridge in the breakfast area can be used by guests. Free coffee all day. Great view from the breakfast area which is open all day. Street to the guesthouse is easy by 4WD, probably also ok by normal car.

Everything - but first and foremost the host! Salome really goes the extra mile to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms and bathrooms are beautiful and clean, the area is quiet and has amazing views, and the home-cooked food is to die for. We felt so welcome and really enjoyed every minute. This was easily the best guest house experience we’ve ever had 😊

Great location about 1km from city center; quiet; very comfortable. Guests hung out in the large dining room providing a homey, welcoming atmosphere. Host was good to respond to requests. Breakfast was included and quite good. We were given a gift of svaneti salt as we departed. She also helped to arrange our ride back to Zugdidi. Definitely recommend.
