The comfortable four poster bed and breakfast were brought up to the table in the room. Nicely set out table with a white table cloth.
The breakfast was tasty, except for the over cooked bacon.

The staff there are very friendly. They always greeted us with bright smiles, that make us feel right at home. We forgot to close our car window, and one of the gentlemen kindly reminded us, thanks again.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. And service was great.
It’s a great location, just about 10-minute walk to Bowness Pier and the town center. All in all, it was a delightful and very cost-effective stay in Bowness. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Bowness.
There’s an Asian food restaurant nearby run by a Vietnamese family. The food there is absolutely fabulous, and the staff are very friendly. It’s definitely worth a try.

Absolutely beautiful quaint little cottage in a great location. Everything I needed and especially clean. Folders provided lots of information on local walks and routes further afield. Bed was huge and so comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Amazing location and view , helpful and kind staff .
Quiet rooms , clean toilets and facilities , Well equipped kitchen . Laundry and drying machine available - low cost ( 2.5£ for washing and 0.5 £ for 15 minutes of drying) . Few minutes driving from the lake and the city centre.
Lovely guest house tucked away in Troutbeck. Good location for Windermere but quiet and relaxing. The host was very welcoming and friendly. There were great views of the valley, breakfast was nice and homemade, rooms were clean and had lots of character.
Clean (other than hair in shower), comfortable (other than cold), modern, quiet
Hosts sense of humour? He advertises that this is 3,014 square feet. A joke? That's ridiculous. For the record it's a standard size chalet, but such gross exaggeration prepares you for everything you find later. Take it with a pinch of salt, don't expect too much and be prepared for things not to be as great as you hope - then you might get a pleasant surprise. I wasn't.
I thought the hostel was great. Great location, great view, friendly staff, nice area to sit, cook and eat. Nice woodland area for the kids to play in. Teens loved playing the board games.
Chatted to people in the kitchen are, everyone is friendly.
Would definitely stay again 👍
Jackie was a wonderful host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her guesthouse. The room was spacious and comfortable. Jackie prepared a delicious breakfast for us each day which consisted of fruit, yogurt and toast as well as a cooked breakfast. The dining room has beautiful views too.
