Everything! Staff were friendly and helpful, room was lovely size, bathroom had plenty of space and shelving, food was excellent - breakfast and dinner. Good location, helped by the weather being good, and an antiques fair taking place opposite.

Welcome to our 15th Century inn where our modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy our food, sample our local ales, explore our wine list and rest a weary head.

When it is time to hit the hay enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of our ten individually styled bedrooms. Our bedrooms consist of cosy snugs, luxury rooms, a luxury suite and a family room with modern interior styling that is sympathetic to our Georgian building. Amenities in our bedrooms include flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities, superfast WIFI and Bramley products.

Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it. *worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.

In the peaceful village of Gestingthorpe on the border of Essex and Suffolk is The Pheasant pub. The pub’s Coach House offers boutique accommodation in a rural location just 15 minutes’ drive from Sudbury.

Nicely located in a small village, good food and friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Evening menu helped greatly as we had been travelling all day and reasonably priced with good value for money.

This area of Suffolk offers many picturesque cycling routes through the rolling countryside, dotted with typical “Suffolk pink” cottages. Lavenham is famous for its church and its Tudor heritage.

The location was perfect in the market square. The room was large with 2 beds & super cosy. Lovely bathroom & extra special touches like fruit sherry chilled water & good notes on everything. Sorry we could only stay one night!

Loved the quirky house. The welcome with a glass of home made wine was great. This guest house is different to a modern hotel, the age makes it really interesting. The host, Terry, was lovely & very knowledgeable about the area. We didnt have cooked breakfast though offered, but lots of choice of cereals, juice etc. Great stay, highly recommend.

I loved the quiet and seclusion of the property. The decorating and decor was beautifully tasteful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. While the hosts made themselves available (via message), they also left us to ourselves for our stay.

Nice, quiet room overlooking the river. Charming position for the hotel with a working waterwheel on display inside. Good bathroom, pleasant decor. Good walks beside the river from just outside the hotel and yet only a 5 minute stroll into the centre of town.

The location is great, its a very short walk to the town centre. The flat is on the top floor (2nd floor) with locked access so it feels very safe. Spotlessly clean with a great rainfall shower. Very quiet at night. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a few quiet nights away. The hosts are very helpful and friendly.
