Clean and comfy bedrooms, newly refurbished. (Bit of a fresh paint smell) Staff helpful and safe parking in the beer garden for bicycles and motorcycles. The public areas need a refurb with new furniture to improve the first impressions. The location is excellent for the ferry (2 minutes drive) if a little uninspiring on first view. We've stayed before so knew what to expect. A locals bar so expect some rowdy singing and banter.

Great location, everything well thought out for your stay, even going to the trouble of leaving bread, marmalade and tea & coffee etc so they had something for breakfast, extremely comfortable, ideal for parking & an absolutely lovely host.

The hosts Roger and Jan are extremely friendly and most obliging. They run a very personal accomodation service. There is a wide choice of both cooked and non cooked food available at breakfast, which cannot be faulted. Roger and Jan's house is immaculate , as is the guest room and the bathroom.
Very clean well kept house and rooms with exceptional spacious modern bathroom . Breakfast, dressing gowns , complimentary chocolates, muffins and toiletries …. Roger and Jan were great hosts, warm, friendly and helpful .

The location was great as it was directly on our route. The breakfast was exceptional with our hosts preparing it from a request form we completed on arrival. Our hosts Jan and Roger added a special touch to the breakfast table by having some of their Australian fluffy animals joining us making us feel right at home.
Very welcoming, cosy atmosphere, fabulous woodburner, characterful cottage, very friendly and helpful host, great walks for us and the dog
