Staff incredibly friendly and courteous. Breakfast was delicious. And the little touches like cold milk and brownies in your room every day made you feel welcomed. Dinner on the grounds was a fun experience--outside, community, great food. Loved everything about this place!

Luxurious, fabulous, fun, and contemporary are 100% accurate for this stay. Tanya is a lovely human who made our stay personable and relaxing. She even made us a reservation for dinner at The Royal Oak pub, which is only a 10-minute walk away. The atmosphere of the retreat is calm and zen. The bed was the most comfortable balance of soft and firm. Drifting off to the sounds of sheep in the field across the street was amazing.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Quiet, spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and very comfortable. The hot water was piping too!! Great value for money and the hosts were lovely. Responded very quickly to a request to stay on for an extra couple of days and we’re very accommodating. Fifteen/twenty minutes drive away from Salisbury and about the same for Stone Henge. I am planning to return in the near future.

Excellent location and extremely homely feel. Charming room on the second floor of this historic venue. Warming log fire in the lounge, lovely and helpful staff - nothing seemed too much trouble. Dinner in the lively restaurant was extremely good with top service - a good step up from the usual pub fare. Excellent value, too. A good bus service into Salisbury saving costly parking! Will stay again. Of interest, it is the only boutique hotel in Salisbury recommended by The Daily Telegraph!

Perfect on all fronts. Great location for visiting the many tourist destinations nearby. While "The Cowshed" itself is quiet and restful. Everything was as you'd expect from a top rated booking. Would definitely book again. Hospitality par excellence. Thank you.

The room is tidy and cosy and Ray is a great host. Wi-fi, coffee, tea and fresh milk provided, fridge, smart TV, good size and nice bathroom. Perfect location to visit Salisbury, few minutes walking to the center and 2 minute to Tesco (open until midnight) if you need something. Very quiet at night, even if there is a pub a few meters away.

This place has a great location in the city centre but was so peaceful and quiet too. The room we had was spotlessly clean and so lovely with the original beams across the ceiling. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was ridiculously good - huge portions, great quality - serving staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would 100% book again!
