Absolutely lovely inn. Beautiful gardens, rooms and common areas. Very clean and cozy! Beds were super comfortable and they even provided a fan for these hot spring days. All the staff was very nice and attentive. Food was excellent too!

So cozy and comfortable cottage…stays true to its name…loved every bit of the stay Everything you need was accommodated..would strongly recommend to book in summers to enjoy the pool Walks around the property are easy and animals (sheep’s, hen etc) are very friendly Wake up to all the sounds that nature could offer you All in all- excellent and happy stay and the host were very friendly and quick to answer no matter where they are geographically Location - very accessible and gps takes you right into the property Food places around- Lacock, Chippenham and Melksham Groceries - all leading supermarkets in either of those places Very much suitable for friends upto 6 or a family of 4. It was like stepping back in time. The inn dates from 1480 and retains its character. The village is wonderful and, as a heritage location , it remains as it was hundreds of years ago. It is the quintessential english village!

The inn is so charming with lovely gardens and a warm homey feel in our room as well as the restaurant/pub. Breakfast was delicious as were the meat pies and all the meals the chef prepared for us. Everyone, especially Carly, Brandon and Layla were happy to help us with anything we asked. Thank you all for a perfect first trip to the English countryside!

What a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The people and the service are amazing, 10+ out of 10. Not only did they help get our luggage up the stairs, they found umbrellas for us to use on our outings and were there at every turn for anything we might need. The bar staff are super friendly and the cook was amazing. Breakfast is the best I've had, and there were several menu items to choose from. We stayed in the small apartment and really enjoyed having a separate area to watch TV and relax. All in all, we loved our stay here. We would like to return again some day and spend more time with these wonderful people. They truly are the best! ❤️

Location - very central. Beautiful accomodation - lovely fitout. Friendly staff. Parking right next door (free from 6pm-8pm) which can be difficult in the centre of some of these old towns. Plenty of hanging space.
