    Lovely peaceful location with comfortable living area to enjoy the garden view and birds (bird food included!). Sofas were especially comfortable and kitchen was excellently equipped. A good selection of maps and guides were provided. Helpful and friendly host and great location for exploring the area.

    Very friendly and helpful hosts, the check in was quick and smooth, the room was clean and had everything we needed, it was nice to have breakfast brought to our room in the morning and also we could choose what we wanted to have. Fresh ingredients and fresh fruit from their garden. Overall amazing stay, definitely recommend Cartmel to anyone.

    A very comfortable home stay style BnB (but without breakfast) in a beautifully quiet location. The host is extremely welcoming and the room well presented and very comfortable. I was slightly apprehensive reading some of the reviews, but I needn’t have been. I enjoyed my stay perfectly.

    Very light and airy apartment, with space and spectacular views - in three directions from the living area . The photos don't do it justice. Alexander is a charming and helpful host. We had a great time in the area... And loved being able to walk through the field down to the beach, see the sun sink and watch the bearded Collie rounding up the sheep! .

    Upgraded to the quirky Hippy Shack, which provided something different to our other lodgings on the NC500, and overlooked the small holding. Quiet peaceful location with a short walk to the loch. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Would recommend.

    Samantha and David were wonderful hosts, who want your stay with them to be perfect. The bedroom was big, fully equipped and very comfortable and beautifully quiet. They have a wonderful collection of feathered friends in their charming garden, all of whom are super friendly, especially Flo the turkey, who loved chatting to you and being stroked! We bought some of Samantha's homemade lemon curd to remind us of our lovely stay with them.
