Breakfast was perfect, the location and charm were simply beautiful and most importantly the staff was absolutely amazing. Completely recommend, it exceeded all expectations!!! Thank you and we promise to return.

    Very friendly and helpful host. Felt more like staying with a friend than just a bed and breakfast. Fascinating, historical house. Food was also great, and Durtal was a pretty little town.

    Very characterful building with appropriately characterful decor and furnishings, with the possible exception of the shelves full of the owner’s business correspondence! Lovely garden with seating for guests. Access to fridge in the kitchen area. Nice quiet location.

    Stanislas was welcoming, warm, friendly and communicative - a perfect host! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Stanislas’s beautiful historic house, which he is lovingly restoring with an incredible attention to detail. He is successfully managing to balance exquisite historical details with modern convenience requirements where no effort is spared regarding quality and aesthetics. We expected a comfortable place to stay for the night - what we got was a memorable experience, and we are already planning a return stay!

    Stanislas is the perfect host, who is refurbishing the house that wa built in 1633. The garden view room that we had was huge, with 2 bedrooms and enough beds to sleep 6 people. The evening meal and the locally sourced wines were excellent. The breakfast which is included had croissants and bread and museli, together with fresh juice, tea and coffee. The house is very quirky meaning that you can go from one room with antique furniture in it to another room with modern art on the walls.

    This is more than a hotel room, this is a modernised house, has everything you need, and more. Very comfortable and very quiet at night. The very friendly host met me upon arrival at the hotel, made me feel welcome.

    This is the most charming french property we have ever seen! Very old timbers and cobbles. amazing character and grandeur. Our host was also charming and extremely helpful. Everything was perfect. A true experience. We will most certainly be back.
