Great hotel for a traveler who enjoys an informal, hostel-like experience (which we do). None of the plastic/corporate feel of most modern hotels, but all the cleanliness, professionalism of staff and convenient parking, etc.

Errota Ostatua offers excellent value for money, and is a handy base for visiting Durango and the nearby Urkiola Natural Park. It's well located, in a nice quiet neighbourhood not far from the Old Town. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Errota offers very good facilities: there is a nice café downstairs with a small garden, and guests also have access to a gym (although I didn't use it).

We loved absolutely everything!! The house is amazing, cozy and very charming. Super good taste in every detail. Carmen is a wonderful hostess, always helping and giving us the felling we’re home. We just wanted to stay more and more, for sure our best place in North Spain. The breakfast is delicious and we the staff very gentle. Recommend very much this sweet place for your stay in the Basque area.
