Our room was clean and spacious.
We arrived late but Ali (I think that was his name) was waiting for us at the ferry and carried our bags to the guest house.
The omelette at breakfast was great.
Unfortunately we stayed only one night !

Perfectly positioned just over the river on Elephantine Island. Ferry’s ran ever 10 minutes and cost 15p each. The accommodation was lovely and the welcome from Ali and his family was fantastic. Very laid back, air con was great as was WiFi. Food was excellent. Rooms were spacious and had every thing you needed. Couldn’t fault it and would thoroughly recommend.

The room was lovely and the view from the balcony over the Nile spectacular. Everything was very relaxed and the owner sent a boat to pick us up from the ferry dock. Breakfast was great and the staff friendly and helpful.

The room was super clean and comfortable and the rooftop from the restaurant has one of the best views to see the sunset, absolutely stunning!
But what we enjoyed the most about the Basmatic Nubian Guest House was the hospitality and warmth of the people that worked there ( with special mention to Madmoud!) they made us feel like at home and even went to play football with their friends :)

Lovely place in the West bank of Nile. Nice and quiet. The staff are wonderful. Will take you across the river any time of the day.
If you are flying in to Aswan and travelling here, book the taxi pickup option offered by the hotel as it will cost the same amount and will have less hassle than bargaining with the taxi drivers at the airport.

Wonderful hospitality! Habibi made sure that my stay was comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were great and the canteen had views of the Nile. There's a washing machine that guests can use. It was of no surprise that some of the other guests that I met were repeat customers.

Everything! The place is very nice clean and cozy! And the owner is the kindest person you could ever meet. We shared a lot of time talking and he was explaining a lot about the area, and touristic points, he also helped me with indications in Arabic in a paper. He also invited me a very tasty fruit juice.

Abazido locates in a very quiet area bit not far away from the center. Have nice view of Nile. Owner Walaa is very nice. Gave us help when we need it. Though we stayed one night only, but I really enjoy the stay there.

By far our best hotel experience in Egypt. This hotel is a magical place with a unique view of the Nile. We felt so good that we booked 2 more nights. Mohamed, the owner, is very attentive and available to answer all our questions and make sure we had a wonderful stay. Breakfasts and meals on the terrace were excellent. This is a place with a great potential, it will be nice to comeback in the next few years and find out how they are doing. Good value for money, very clean. The lady that come to greet us took a great deal making sure we have everything we need.

A great, quiet guesthouse with a very kind, helpful host. Abu will go out of his way to make sure you have what you need and are comfortable. I would stay here again.
Property is in a quiet area of Aswan, away from the noisy city. Crossing the street it has an exclusive area to swim into the Nile river or do some kayaking, which are rented for a cheap price. They also offer water and soft drinks and a small breakfast included. You can easily spend many days relaxing in the hostel, without even leaving to do attractions.
Zolly was and excellent host, his hospitality was warm and welcoming and he couldn’t be more accommodating. The guest house it’s self is a nice spot over over views over the Nile and Aswan. Facilities are all up to scratch and the rooms well equipped. The guesthouse offers excellent value for money and you can put a price on the hospitality Zolly offers .
The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food!
The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle.
The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed.
Would definitely reccomend!

This is a lovely, quaint guest house on the quiet side of Elephantine. We loved how peaceful it was and away from the hustle and bustle of the town: Mohammed and Basser were very accommodating hosts throughout the stay. A highlight being we got to go on Mohammed’s boat for a sunset journey on the Nile. Highly recommend!
Great location next to the Nile and 5 minutes on foot from the ferry. Also very nice rooftop to chill by the river. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Ahmed is a great host, we were able to take our breakfast in a bag when we had to leave at 4am. He can also organize a trip to Abu Simbel at a reasonable price.

This is a great location, easy to access from the elephantine ferry boat port for a cheap ride and short walk. nice and peaceful. great host who is very helpful and organised felucca rides, boat rides and trip to Abu Simbel for us. there is a wee restaurant next door with yummy food - it takes a while to cook but is a nice relaxing atmosphere. breakfast is decent enough and served on the rooftop. the host is Nubian and the house is in a Nubian village. I highly recommend BAYT ZAINA.
