We came for the F1 weekend as most guests at the time. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We stayed at an apartment and it was great. Very clean. Comfy beds.

Nice guesthouse in the countryside. Stayed there four nights when watching F1 at the Red Bull Ring. Owned by a family, a father and two sons managed the facility. They were all very nice and friendly and treated us like a family. They made great breakfast for everyone and they also made a fine dinner for all that wanted. Also set up the races on TV to watch again and the Euro football games. Really enjoyed staying at their place and really miss those guys.

Having a supper in a sunroom overlooking the hills and the cute village around, it was just a dream. The furniture is a combination of quality old pieces, and new ones that fit well. The pictures of the previous owners and guests on the walls and the porcelain in the kitchen bring you back in the past. The bed was really comfortable and there was no noise during the night. The garden around the house is lovely. It was easy to come with the car. There is a town Deutschlandsberg with many shops 10 min away, also with a beautiful castle and Buschenschanks, and we also saw some hiking paths starting just outside the garden. The owners are very friendly and flexible. They also made sure there is enough electrical sockets everywhere despite how old the house is, so there is no issue if you want to just stay inside and watch a movie!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
