The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Local and "bio" food. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room/house equipment is very nice including a coffee machine. The room and bathroom were quite clean.
The place is located in beautiful countryside away from the busy tourist routes. There appear to be great hiking opportunities. We had a great view from the balcony.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
- The pleasure of staying in a castle in its original state ("dans son jus").
- Ernst Bauer's friendliness (including staff): his invaluable advice on sightseeing in the region (there's a lot to do!), tour of the castle and explanation of its history and anecdotes, etc. (www.intempo.at).
- Perfect peaceful and quiet location in the countryside (not a sound around during the night).
- Excellent breakfast in an historic room.
- A magnificent terrace for aperitifs in the setting sun.
It is located 50metres from the lake, Owner is at the bar and the beer is tasty. Good breakfast, clean rooms , quiet atmosphere. Reminded me visit to grandparents.
Great location in a lovely place! Really nice views from the bedroom. Rooms were clean and the host was very nice and friendly :) we stayed for the Ironman and it is the first place we’ve stayed where the host provided breakfast from 4am for everyone competing in the race!
Everything, this apartment is great and confortable, on perfect location. Very clean and nice decorated. Host is very polite and helpful. Wish I could stay longer
The place is really charming even off season. I can't even imagine how it looks in all its majesty in spring or summer. We also had a really lovely chat with the Kastellan and could try some local dishes.
Very quiet and clean. Everyone super friendly and accommodating. They were so nice to give us the bigger apartment. Very new interior, would always come back, hopefully for longer
How often do you get to stay in a castle ????
We had heard/read some average previous reviews but the host has changed.
Fantastic atmosphere, old world charm, good location, very interesting history, great host full of information and history of the schloss. Breakfast was exceptional.
Gerry (the Schloss dachshund) captured all our hearts!
We could even swim in the nearby lake.
The castle tour (including aperitif) with Herr Bauer was excellent and he shared many insights to the castle history.
