Bikes can be hired at reception. I was looking for a place to relax after touring Italian cities and hill towns. This was perfect. It was out of season so not much going on here. Guests at La Mortella have access to the fancy golf resort (via a short walking path) if you like that sort of thing. Drove to the Citadelle but it's been turned into condominiums so no public access.

Golf Club Punta Ala is located in a panoramic spot with views of the Tyrrhenian Sea at 10 minutes by car from the hotel. Perfect hotel. This was not the first time my husband and I had stayed there, and every year we received excellent service from the best hotel in Italy. We stayed in room 206 with a great view of the sea. The hotel kindly provided us with free shuttle service to the beach, which we were not aware of. Upon check-in, we were offered valet parking services and free drinks. Special thanks to Julio at the reception, who was very attentive to our needs. Breakfast was varied and for dinner, the chef himself came to see if we liked everything. We will definitely be back this summer with friends for a longer stay.
