The property is in a quiet location with a jungle vibe. Facilities are clean and pleasant. Swimming pool if you want that. It offered what we wanted a comfortable retreat to sleep and a great base from which to explore.

Beautiful design of buildings and room with lots of nice details like a few leaf imprints in the floors, nicely-shaped water bottles etc. A wonderful bathroom with one whole front of folding doors that allow you to stand right in the forest while taking your shower. Pretty planters and quirky pottery items, and even a tree house. Beautiful gardens with a stream, massive trees and flowers everywhere which must be an arduous task to keep at all times. Lovely swimming pool. Very clean throughout, friendly staff and tasty, generous breakfast.

A rare small resort with beautifully designed ‘cottages’ in the most exquisite orchid garden. This is a very relaxed place. It has a good restaurant, is run by a delightful small group who care for it passionately, and is perfectly situated for a touring this lovely hilly area of the Chiang Mai region. The pool is large and salt water, set among the trees. It is a real retreat living up to every expectation.

Gotten an upgrade room which is very spacious. Very clean and thoughtful to provide outdoor slippers. Though need to walk uphill & steep slopes, there is bugee I can call to ferry me from point to point. Consent to my request tour the hotel and my host who is one of the hotel staff, Kid was excellent & share good information where I can plan to stay at Star Dome in future.

Pete and Ying are brilliant, always going above and beyond to help ensure that your stay is hassle free. We wanted a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle but close enough that it was easy to get to all the activities we wanted to do and Country Retreat was perfect for that. Ying's food is great, and the best we had while in and around Chiang Mai.

The friendly relaxed atmosphere at the Country Retreat is just incredibel. Peter and Ying immediatly make you feel at ease and if you feel like hanging at the bar for a drink it feels as if you enter in your local pub and can have a chat with the usual crowd. The scenery is divine and immediatly puts you at peace. Just perfect. One of the best places I have stayed in for a very very long time.
