The place is situated on a river with waterfalls. That was our view. Magical. The accommodation was large and beds had the best linens and were super comfortable. We walked the property all the way down to the ocean and it was the best hike. We went along the river and through fields with sheep and it was amazing. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and the lunch they packed for us last minute for the train was made with love and delicious. Wonderful stay.

Very cute, nice hostel. All you need for breakfast is in the fridge, you make your breakfast yourself whenever you like. The kitchen is really nice. My room was simple but comfy. The receptionist helped us to book a taxi, even though it was really late already. If you are taking the boat from Scrabster to Stromness, make sure you order a taxi well in advance, as there are no busses really and only a limited number of taxis.
