Just 7 minutes’ drive from the centre of Ludlow, The Clive Restaurant with Rooms offers luxurious accommodation alongside its award-winning restaurant. The Clive offers free parking and WiFi and includes an 18th-century lounge and a contemporary bar with courtyard. A warm welcome set the tone for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. we had booked 2 of the larger rooms (Plymouth and Windsor) and loved everything - the bath salts for the bath; the beautiful curtains (good black out), the selection of tea and the tea-pot; lovely and slightly unusual soaps and shampoo etc. Beautifully furnished to a high standard and all very comfortable. The Ludlow Food Centre is brilliant for food lovers with lots of local produce. we had a wonderful dinner at the Hotel and hope to return.

Breakfast - our kippers and poached eggs were spot on plus yum veggie option. Julie and Clive were five stars hosts. For us Poppy House was friendly, full of charm and perfectly placed - stones throw from Three Tons Brewery and Castle Hotel with its fabulous garden and views. Bishops Castle is a real gem, seriously soothing in an outstandingly beautiful part of the country.

Excellent location in the heart of Ludlow. Tons of character. Super comfortable beds great facilities like a fridge, kettle hair dryer. We loved everything about this property and will definitely be returning. Definitely 5 stars.

Lovely hotel, newly renovated, the room and service was fabulous. The room was dotted with many little extra touches, chocolate, Nespresso coffee pods, DAB radio, handwritten welcome note, camomile pillow spray and the bath even had a rubber duck, bath robes, slippers, really high end toiletries and possibly the best shower in any hotel in the UK. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the staff were exemplary, friendly, helpful and attentive. 5 stars is probably not enough. Will definitely stay again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Friendly proprietors, relaxing and tastefully furnished throughout, cleanliness exceptional, breakfast plenty of choice, quality ingredients. Unexpected complementary extras eg tea and cakes on arrival. Well deserves 5 stars, excellent value.We will be back
