The entire hotel is beautiful, inside a magnificient old building in the historic center of Guanajuato. The hotel complex comprises different structures on different levels. For instance, the swimming pool and the bar are located higher and only reachable with an elevator, giving it stunning views over the city. It is really a spectacular place. The location could not be better. The hotel is located on the main plaza where almost everything happens. The real highlight, however, is the staff. They were all friendly and extremely helpful, especially the young woman who supervises the reservations in 1850 and their sister hotel Sterling. My wife and I highly recommend Boutique Hotel 1850.

The central location in Guanajuato historical center. We had a terrace off our room where we had a great view of the New Years fire works and the historical buildings. The staff was wonderful and even brought us two glasses of champagne to our room at midnight. Also, the bed was very comfortable, the room was warm at night, and quite when the windows were closed (even with everyone celebrating in Guanajuato center).
