Being in the beautiful Swaledale valley was wonderful.
When the accommodation is just as important as the destination, a five-star stay should give that extra ‘wow’ factor as you enter the lobby. As well as offering the kind of service to make you feel like royalty, you’ll usually find highly rated on-site spas, gourmet restaurants and top-of-the-line beds you won’t want to get out of.
The Chef Steve and restaurant staff members were all brilliant especially Angela. Steve and Angela really assisted us seamlessly with our dietary requirements and finding items in general! If I had known it was going to be this good - I would have stayed longer! Restaurant breakfast with Steve and Angela exceeded all expectations! Well done!
Ideally situated for A1 access with good parking. Very nice lounge and bar area. Restaurant was good for dining first night and Richmond is 10 min taxi for some variety. Excellent breakfast selection also served in restaurant area. Breakfast was outstanding. Room was very comfortable and road noise was minimal. Staff were fantastic. Really enjoyable stay.
Superb location for overnight stop, close to motorway so no time lost in getting to the hotel and back onto the motorway. Having said that, the hotel didn’t feel purely functional. It had a lovely friendly atmosphere.
The restaurant was roomy and the menu good. Food well cooked. The room was spacious, good shower and hairdryer. Good layout. We needed a break in a long journey and this was a perfect, relaxing stop.
Close to a petrol station so no need to stop at motorway services, an additional bonus.
We liked the fridge & the luggage rack in the bedroom & we liked how quiet it was through the night (being so close to the A1). Also, we liked the breakfast & the bacon was done to perfection.
