I loved all the rooms in little cottages around the main building. We had a little sitting room as well as the bedroom and bathroom and it was very relaxing. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Great location too!

Liberty House, hotel in Ashbourne

Liberty House, a property with a garden, is situated in Ashbourne, 33 km from Chatsworth House, 42 km from Trentham Gardens, as well as 46 km from Nottingham Castle.

Liberty House was quite possibly one of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Everything about it was quality, from the decor and furnishings, to the beds and kitchen equipment. We loved staying here, it was easy to walk into town where there are plenty of restaurants and cafes, and it was central in the area to be able to access many walks and beautiful countryside.

The Old Clock Makers, hotel in Ashbourne

The Old Clock Makers, a property with a garden, is set in Ashbourne, 33 km from Chatsworth House, 43 km from Donington Park, as well as 43 km from Trentham Gardens.

A perfect little flat in a super location at the southern tip of the Peak District. All shopping facilities that you need are in walking distance. No parking but the free parking lot (August 2024 - at the local rugby, cricket, lawn bowles club) was within easy walking distance. Very easy access to major road into all directions … a number of quite good eateries in the vicinity. The kitchen, the garden!!! A quiet little place … we loved it.

Fantastic location for the stunning hotel. wonderful old building with so much charm and character. The view from our room was excellent. Breakfast every morning was 10/10 plenty of choice, including fresh cooked food. Dinner in the restaurant and the bar were superb, more formal in restaurant, but the quality was the same. Nice range of drinks, very good service from all involved. Loved everything about the hotel, including the other guests! We would love to return

The place, location and staff were all fantastic, the only slight down side was that the pub doesn't open on a Monday so the evening was a bit flat. The food however the next evening was absolutely superb as were our hosts. The views from our bedroom and all the surroundings are splendid. Would definitely go back.

This is a lovely hotel which is suffering an identity problem. The main issue here is that the price point is at 5 star level, whereas the hotel itself is really 4 star accommodation. The interior design is lovely and we enjoyed spending time in the communal areas of the hotel, the modern restaurant extension is impressive with tasty food offerings, and the grounds beautiful. There really is a lot to like here and Callow Hall has all the makings of a fabulous destination hotel, but it was let down on a few points as listed below.
