Location in the middle of Popayán’s old town. Main churches, squares and museums nearby. Superb views at sunrise and dawn. Sunsets are spectacular. Loved it.
From the moment we arrived to the hostel Carlos made us feel right at home.
It felt more like visiting friends than a hostel.
We had such a nice time staying with Carlos, Pao and Brisa. All the animals (dogs, horses, cows, chicken, ducks) add to the experience.
We totally recomend this place.
Take a walk to the waterfall where you can swim, play some catan and just Read a book or relax.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center and within walking distance to the main plaza, museums, gorgeous churches and delightful restaurants. The hotel's monastery history with its unparallel architecture inside and outside are outstanding. The food was delicious. The staff was outstanding and attentive. I will definitely plan to visit again and stay at Hotel Dann Monasterio ;)
Second visit and felt like coming back to friends

Right on the edge of town next to Humiliation Bridge so perfect to get to the old town.
Breakfast to take out available if you've your own Tupperware (I did).
Polite and helpful staff- called taxi, at 3am, greeted were waiting by the door when I got my taxi.
As it was Good Friday, I felt the prices for the room was very good. They didn't seem to vastly increase them like other places.
Allowed me to store my large bag downstairs since there was no lift.
Comfortable bed- not luxurious settings but it was clean and had what you needed.
I had a nice , quiet and comfortable room in this beautiful colonial style mansion . The staff was outstanding , very welcoming and helpful . right in the city , but still very quiet .
