Definitely a piece of paradise with very helpful hosts. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Photos on profile do not give the accommodation justice. Fantastic that I was allowed to walk around the farm and see the evidence of millions of years of Earth history when the Karoo was an inland sea, and thin layers of sediment was deposited, and now sits on a 85° angle, with trace fossils of the still primordial wetland... Zebras and springbok are the myriad, of uniquely Karoo fynbos, with the unique fresh scent in the air. The bright Karoo starlight makes the winter night priceless. Even though I slept in the caravan, I enjoyed a king's view of the night sky. Far enough out from the maddening crowd, yet near enough to all the tourists attractions in the cities and towns nearby. Probably nice to bring your mountain bike, and rest at one of the many picnics tables in the veld. Lula, the friendly sheep dog went out walking with me, and we had many adventures.

Homemade ice cream, perfectly cooked steak and the best French toast ever. The real stars of course being all the animals, including a cat and two dogs. The highlight however has to be the most incredible cart ride, pulled by a glorious beast named Vulcan (I can safely say I might have fallen a bit in love with him). It was exhilarating and a must if you visit.
