All cottages at Riverbend have a fully-equipped kitchen, an outdoor seating area, as well as stone fire pits for barbecues. This beautifully designed and cosily furnished cottage is an absolute gem! You can enjoy the amazing view into nature from inside through the big windows, from the big porch or - and this was our big highlight - from the fire-heated hot tub. At night you can watch the stars sitting in the hot tub with nothing but nature around. It is simply beautiful and a great place to calm down, relax and enjoy the quiet away from all street noise. Since it is entirely off the grid, it is not affected by loadshedding. We’d highly recommend taking a factory tour in the olive oil factory with Allison while there. Both Allison and Francis are very welcoming, friendly and caring hosts. If we ever make it back to South Africa, the trip up to the farm with this special cottage will be a must on the itenerary!

Linda is the heart of the house and made sure I felt like home. She also organized a wine tasting tour with her friend Francois which I can highly recommend.

The cottages are lovely, hot tub was great. The pool was clean and a welcome break from the heat. Attention to detail is evident all around and our stay was really relaxing. Will definitely come stay again, next time with a group of friends.

Set 4 km outside of Stellenbosch, Wildlife Retreat on a Wine-Farm is situated on Remhoogte Wine Estate. The working farm boasts views of the Stellenbosch mountains, vineyards and a game camp.

The estate offers a room equipped with a flat-screen satellite TV, free WiFi, a microwave, mini fridge, kettle and toaster. It has a separate bathroom and a private patio. Peaceful room with a little wildlife right at your back porch. A perfect escape from the city. Hosts were super nice and helpful. Will definitely try to come back

The tranquil cottage is set on a beautiful little olive farm/ small holding, yet in town and walking distance from restaurants and shops.

The cottage is nestled in the most scenic part of the farm with amazing mountain and vineyard views. It’s super comfortable with excellent layout and rhe barbecue facilities are the best we have ever experienced. Our stay was most memorable and we will definitely book in again in the near future.

Boasting views over the valley, Saronsberg Vineyard Cottages offers cosy cottages with a lounge area. Situated just outside the historic town of Tulbagh on the slopes of the Saronsberg Mountain, It features Saronsberg wine tasting room. Nice, spacious accommodation in a picturesque vineyard setting. We enjoyed the outside seating area and braai, which had an air of privacy as they were shielded by the cottage. The bed was very comfortable, as indeed was the entire cottage. The wines at the tasting room were very pleasant, and Saronsberg Vineyard is definitely worth a visit if only for that, and the chance to see the interesting artwork dotted around the grounds
