I stayed here with my best friend for a week (I'm British and he is Dutch). The house far exceeded our expectations, it was very large and spacious, warm and cosy with everything we needed. We very much appreciated the free WIFI and smart TV with netflix on the cold evenings! Kitchen and bathroom were well appointed, very modern very clean. (description stated there was a bath but it's actually a spacious shower which I assume had been redone like the kitchen as things were newer than shown in pictures!).
The location is very rural and quiet, surrounded by lovely animals. We arrived with public transport and as a warning you have about a 40 minute walk for Gorredijk to get to the property. The bikes provided by the hosts were great for our needs and we used them nearly every day to either go to the supermarket or to the bus/train station to travel around (we went to Utrecht on the train and also to Drachten on the bus as it was the closest Cinema). (the bus goes to Heerenveen every half an hour weekdays in the day/every hour evenings and weekends).
Hosts were lovely, making sure we had everything we needed then leaving us to our own devices.
We travel to a different part of the NL every year and it was lovely to see this part of the country, thank you so much for providing a lovely place to stay at a very affordable price!

Very nice hosts! We really enjoyed our stay here and can definitely recommend! The hot tub was amazing and everything was super cosy. We visited the farm the day after and learned a lot about the cows and technology used.
Cosy little room, has everything you would need. Nicely tucked away in nature. There's even a farm not far away that offers fresh (raw) milk from a tap. The view is also very nice as there are so many windows (not a busy road). One morning a flock of sheep even passed by.
I liked the fact that the accommodation was a converted Friesian farm/house, very similar to one that my father lived in during his childhood, many years ago. This was a wonderful way for my grown children to experience an important part of their family heritage.
This is a very nice place that looks like a villa despite its farmhouse origins. A quite old house, but completely rebuilt inside. Good kitchen with free coffee and tea. Beautiful living room available all the time. Hospitality owner. Highly recommended!
Beautiful restoration of old bakehouse attached to owner’s farmhouse. The house had every modern convenience and lots of electric plug sockets. The garden was private and looked on fields. The owners were really helpful and friendly. The property is well placed for cycling, walking and sightseeing.
Interesting property, modernised farm barn. Rural setting right on edge of town. Good sized room, fresh and clean, fridge and sofa also. Good and plentiful breakfast served at the table. Bicycles locked up in a barn. Walking distance into Lemmer centre for the evening.
