There is ample safe parking with an electronically controlled gate – a remote control was provided to us, so we could open the gate at any time. The room was spacious and very clean, with a modern bathroom with shower. There was a desk and enough electrical outlets to allow us to keep our electronics powered and charged. Our hostess Daniela was very helpful and took a real interest in our activities – suggesting interesting places to hike and visit, and providing maps and brochures. The breakfast offerings were excellent and included home-baked items; we always had a hearty breakfast to prepare us for hiking. This is an excellent spot to use as a base for exploring Maiella National Park. The nearby town of Manoppello has good restaurants (we returned again and again to La Passione), a supermercato where they will make your lunchtime panino, and a gelateria.
