I was looking for a some accommodation with affordable price, rather difficult task for Switzerland. So the price was the main search criterion, so I booked this place. But apart from more than affordable price, this farm stay is really cool! Beautiful location on the hill in the Emmental, owners are friendly, free parking. You can see some pigs, cows, so you are close to the nature. The room and bathroom were very clean, wifi fast. I find such cool place even better than hotels in the city! Would definitely stay again there!

Ski storage space is available on-site and both skiing and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the farm stay. The hosts, the cows, the cleanliness, the wifi, the sauna, we had everything and more as the hosts made sure we hade sledges, snow shoes, a raclette and fondue set and even gifted us cheese from their own cows. It was a perfect stay that can rarely be found these days. We ll be back.

If you have children they will love feeding the animals (pigs, chickens, cows, sheep, alpacas). There is a playground around the corner and the owner has so many toys inside and outside the apartment for kids to play with. There is also a lot of hiking.

House is also very beautiful

The farm stay consists of 1 bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer. The farm stay offers bed linen, towels and housekeeping service. A good budget place for 2-3 nights stay in the country side, a good base for exploring the mountains - about 45 min drive from Stechelberg and Grindenwald, 10min from Brienz. A restaurant on site with hearty Swiss food (rosti and desserts were delicious) at good prices where locals eat - it gets booked up so best to book on the weekend (you can have the food also in the apartment if it's full). The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We didn't try breakfast as the dinner plates were huge. The heaters were on when we arrived. A nice Jura coffee machine prefilled with beans.
