A super friendly reception by the host, welcome drinks at 19.30 with the other guests, very animated dinners around communal table. This was hotel no.11 on our trip which was meant for relaxation, and it did. The region is a cultural heritage of unbelievable beauty.

Sipping a glass of complimentary port upon arrival, while watching the sun set and the Douro meander by (all in complete silence) - to die for! We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Santo for our 2 night stay. Maria was very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgable. The views of the Douro valley are beautiful. The small, quaint village is a quick drive to the Douro river with amazing views of the hillside vineyards. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

Beautiful total reconversion of an old house, very well done, and really comfortable. Great big soundproof room, excellent bathroom, Very good swimming pool. The house is situated in a small village on top of the mountain about 8 km from Tabuaco village. The drive is easy and beautiful, and (good) meals can be ordered at the reception from a restaurant in the village that will do the delivery. Totally recommending this location and property to stay.
