    We were visiting Portugal for a wedding. Casas de Taipa was a.wondeful sanctuary for spending time with grown up family. We loved the way we had our own bit of space whilst being able to cook and eat together. The accommodation was beautiful and reflective of the loved family farm it had clearly been. It was incredibly hot, but there was plenty of shade from fig and carob trees. The beach was a 10 minute drive away if you wanted to leave the peace of the apartment.

    Beautiful house in a lovely rural setting between Lagoa and Carvoeiro. Our room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delightful fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, eggs. The couple who run it were very helpful. We stayed in February so did not use the pool or outdoor areas but they looked very well thought out with a mixture of soft seating and tables and chairs and a lovely pool.

    Ida and her husband did an amazing work at renovating this former farm. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with recent furniture. Breakfast is prepared with various cheese and ham from the region, fruit, muffins, Musli… all you need! We loved our stay there! Carvoieiro and Lagoa are the nearby cities with plenty restaurant options and bars and beaches are 10min by car. Highly recommended!!
