A small six-room hotel in a very interesting location. In Marvao district, the hill top town is not far to visit (great place to visit but after a couple of hours you have 'done' it). Beside railway lines and almost opposite a wonderful old station, but no problem with noise as the train line from here to Caceras in Spain closed down more than 12 years ago. Close to great Roman excavations in Portugal and over the border in Spain and a number of small towns. The hotel was spotless. The host provided splendid breakfasts and was keen to find something extra every day. Good sized swimming pool. Good place to stay

This is not a stay this is a wonderful experience in the history for Portugal. One night is not enough to take in all that the house has to offer. And the hosts how have live here their entire lives are so welcoming and informative. If you are in this area do not miss this place.

Casa do Brasão in Beirã is a beautifully restored historic manor house, converted into a comfortable holiday home with a swimming pool. The impressive granite building, with its distinctive coat of arms, exudes authentic charm. Inside, wooden beams, polished concrete floors, and antique furniture create a North African ambiance, while the windows offer views of the serene Alentejo landscape. We were very lucky to stay in this house!

We drove 10 hours from France to Alentejo for a two week trip in the region and Beirã was our first stop. Arriving in this cute little village was so nice.
Tapada da Beirã is such a quiet, peaceful and charming place to stay. We loved everything about it. It's full of cute little cats. The swimming pool is amazing. And the owners Maria and Jose are so welcoming, helpful and nice.
The room is very cute and comfortable. We had more than we expected, coffee, tea, microwave, sink to do the dishes. We would recommend anyone else to go there and spent few nights. It's a perfect starting point to visit Marvão, Castelo do Vide and the surroundings.
Don't miss the former Marvão-Beirã train station in the village of Beirã.
The bar "Bernardos" just down the street is amazing too super fresh beers and amazing olives !
We wish we could stay there again soon !
Jose and Maria thank you for everything and give our hugs to Amora 🐈

The idyllic peaceful rural location on a working farm with sheep with bells. Jose was a delightful host and the breakfasts were excellent.
Our room was spacious and the traditional stone building was nice and cool and the pool was great for cooling off. The bed was very comfortable.
There were some nice restaurants about half an hour's walk away and nearby Marvao is well worth a visit. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed it very much. It is great if you are looking for peace and quiet.
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!

The hosts were lovely, super informative, kind and helpful. The property is a little outside of Castelo de Vide. It is peaceful, relaxing and rustic and the owners describe it as such. It is very natural, simple and tasteful design.
Located about 3km north of Castelo da Vide, in the country, and very quiet and enjoyable. The lavender farm setting was beautiful, room excellent, pool great in the warm weather, and an outstanding breakfast. The owners were hands on helping with breakfast, giving a tour of their lavender processing and products, and checking to make sure we were not lacking anything, great people.
Quinta das Lavandas is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature and countryside trails perfect for walking or even running. The property itself is one of the most quiet, comfortable and beautiful rural places I've experienced in Portugal. The hosts Teresa and Estevão, and all the staff, were the most welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. And on top of all that the charming towns of Marvão and Castelo de Vide are just minutes away.
Everything. From the second we entered until we left we were wowed by the beauty and tranquility of the farm, the view of the Marvao castle, the super gracious hosts and the elegant and spotless accommodations. The breakfast the next day was sumptuous and the homemade crepes, croissants, breads, jams and fresh fruit from the farm were simply amazing. This is hands down, one of our best stays ever! We even got a tour of the farm after breakfast. Priceless!
The best breakfast we have ever had! Homemade jams, croissants and fresh fruits grown on the farm. The kindest hosts, so welcoming. A beautiful room with everything we needed. Also they are very considerate of the environment.
