For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
Friendly owner, nice rustical place, coasy rooms, comfortable beds, small, but clean bathroom (in every room). A kitchen for all to use, free caffee, tea, milk and cereal. Great place to spend the night. Close to shop, pharmacy and a great restaurant.
very nice rural location, good value for money, and we had a fantastic dinner (you eat their farm products such as lambs however they also have vegetarian options). Buffet breakfast was also very good. Room was simple but comfortable. Lovely girl at reception/ restaurant!
It's a warmly farm house, you has the chance to visit the farm, we met two new borned baby sheep It's so cute. We even saw the northen light at the night under the tips given by the friendly owner. The breakfast is perfect
Friendly owner and staff..The best breakfast that we had so far for our 5 day trip on the ring road. We enjoyed meeting with several nice horses nearby from the neighboring farm ranch.
Excellent location,
a farm house surrounded by fields, nature, and sheep.
And also close to road 1.
Equipped kitchen,
the rooms are on a separate floor from the kitchen and living room
The farm stay was unique among our six different accommodations whilst traveling around Iceland. It is just outside the town of Hofn. The host was wonderful, providing helpful information about the immediate area as well as the next leg of our journey. Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and clean. Having to go down the hall to a bathroom was a bit unusual, but not a problem really.
It had a great view, and a great farmhouse dinner menu. The best thing I liked about it was that it was close to the glaciers, so we were able to drive down a road and then take a 40 min hike to the glacier and enter into a (small) glacier cave.
