    The farmhouse was a unique stay - there is a museum of sorts on the first floor that details an interesting history of the area as well as a theater where you learn about the life of Dan O'Hara. You can walk the property and see the old O'Hara house. Lots of roaming friendly animals on the property. Breakfast served each morning was delicious. The property is also connected to the city via greenway/sidewalk so it is possible to walk into town which we found to be a big bonus when we did not want to drive.

    The staff were so helpful, reassuring when our car broke down.. he fixed it vernight and gave a ride into town so we could enjoy dinner and music. Self guided town walk was beautiful as was property at farmhouse

    Location was excellent. A manageable walk to town centre but far enough out to create a rural escape. The view from the property was fantastic with sea inlet views and mountains in background. A great location to use as a base for touring Connemara. Property itself was practical and overall very comfortable.

    Very nice accomodation, in a green, quiet environment, surrounded by animals. Donna is extremely friendly and helpful, always eager to suggest sightseeing options, and she cooks wonderful breakfasts. Our room was quite large with space for our things. We had a private bathroom which, though separate, was just in front of our room. Everything was very clean. We most definitely recommend staying at Shanakeever farm!

    Very nice, warm and open hostess. The breakfast was so delicious and something special. We were allowed to choose and it was prepared live from ingredients from her farm. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable. The location of the farm was quiet yet only a few minutes drive from Clifden. Thank you very much, we would love to come back...
