Overlooking the fields and a temple that is connected through a bamboo path/bridge that goed through the fields. The staff is very helpful and will do anything to accommodate you. We also loved the decor. Very tranquil Zen/Scandinavian style rooms. The bed was very comfortable as well. The lobby is more in an English cottage style where it’s lovely to relax and read a book with the lovely view. We also recommend to drive to the nearby mud spa (choose program nr 5!) avoid the VIP-treatment though. We highly recommend this place!

For guests with children, the guest house provides an indoor play area and a baby safety gate. We stayed at pimpa House for 4 days, and we had an amazing time. The delicious breakfast with a peaceful and favorable view. We have a chance to try the delicious local foods. Mr. Pimpa was a great host and very kind and helpful. We definitely recommend this place.

Free WiFi is available throughout the property. I really loved the ambience of the property. The grounds look beautiful and there is a dog and kitty on the property. It’s a very quiet and natural place. I slept well and Ying was a wonderful manager! She was so nice and welcoming!

If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the accommodation can arrange a car rental service. It’s located at the highest spot of Ban Rak Thai so the view is magnificent day and night. The room is spacious with an enclosed changing room which is so convenient and private. The balcony is also very large and relaxing. Everything is clean and comfortable. With the price this reasonable, I don’t think I can ever book a room that good again anywhere else in the world.

Free WiFi access and private parking are both available. This is going to be a long review, but if you are considering staying here and want a real, local Thai experience, keep reading. This place is NOT touristy and we were among a small handful of foreigners in the area during our stay. We stayed at KE for 3 days and it was one of my favorite destinations of the month long trip to SE Asia. Gail, Phillip, and Pen (Gail’s sister) are wonderfully warm and accommodating people who made our stay so special and unique. Gail (Kanlaya) gave us the most amazing tour of the area over several days. We drank local coffee which was grown nearby, with beans still warm from the day’s roasting, hand ground in front of us and prepared in the local fashion. We expressed interest in exploring caves and Gail took us all over and joined us as we navigated the sometimes treacherous caves. They provided us with local guides for the caves, one which included being chest deep in an underground river! Aside from hanging out with Gail (who I wished was my new best friend) we opted to have dinner at the property for two nights. And OMG, the food was unreal. very authentic northern Thai cuisine, made by Gail and her sister, Pen. The property itself has been carefully designed by the hosts, integrating the local geology and plants into the architecture. Phillip is an absolute thrill to chat with. He’s very knowledgeable on the culture and geology of the area and we enjoyed many lively fireside conversations in the evenings. Our room was decorated and designed with intense attention to detail. Wonderful views. Great birdwatching opportunities. Do not miss this opportunity! I cannot express this enough. Wonderful in every way. This is the best place to stay in the area, , it’s such a sweet little bit of garden paradise with so many beautiful plants, fish ponds , cosy clean bungalows and a lovely kind family who run the place.

The owners are absolutely the sweetest, offered me to sit down and enjoy dinner with them.
