The updates to the rooms were a surprise since the last visit.

With so many years to perfect our formula, the entire hotel radiates a welcoming atmosphere and presents you with a number of places to relax. Loved the location as it was a short distance from the dock and near all the stores and restaurants. Really great breakfast bar with fresh bread. Staff was very friendly and made my stay so much better. Really big shower and a very clean room.

The Midsland aan Zee beaches are only 2.5 km away. Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker! The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.
