Amazing boardwalk to the river, short walk (a block or two)to the the beach. Rustic but fancy-finished in all the right places: super clean nice sized pool (it gets HOT) and If you get a room with AC, it actually WORKS LOL. Plenty of little local shops and local restaurants right there. Angel creates such a warm, relaxed vibe, making sure guests meet eachother, I really felt like I was just hanging out at a friend's place, Fantastic experience.

Hostel Charlie is a family run hostel. The family invited us to several events and shared their food with us. The atmosphere is very open and kind. I loved every second of it.
We had a fantastic stay !! Very nice and helpful stuff. Manager of the front desk was funtastic! Delicious breakfast and Asian restaurant. Drinks were very good . Fantastic servces at the pool bar.
The location is well located in the centre and very close to the beach. The tent itself is spacious, clean, and so were the bed and the bed linnen. And it was affordable. We also liked that there was someone there to welcome us (there’s no reception desk).
Vida went above and beyond to make sure my stay was exceptional. I had a private room that was very clean and great to relax in. There was a massive swimming pool with a big slide that kids enjoyed so much, and Vida has his own beachside restaurant across the street with THE BEST food (ceviche, shrimp etc) stay at Vidas place and experience Sipacate and a location that most tourists don’t know about!
The stuff is super friendly, creating really a family vibe. The food is excellent, the dinner buffet is changing everyday (Chinese, English, Mexican etc) and it was nice to eat something different than a tortilla after a 3 weeks in Guatemala :) the beach is wide and clean, we enjoyed our surf lessons. The extra bonus is the turtle releasing every morning. If you are a party person you will be more then happy.
What a lovely place! Nico is one of the sweetest and welcoming hostel owners ever. Every morning there's coffee and some local sweet bread available, the place is very quiet, perfect position, there are surf board available for rent, the beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is clean as are the bathrooms, the dog and the cats are super cute and give the place even more of a family vibe. I really relaxed a lot and enjoyed my staying very much. The outdoor shower is the cherry on top of the cake! Totally recommended!
The AC in the room was really nice, just what you need after a hotttt day. It’s right at the beach, ideal if you want to go surfing (you can rent boards at the hostel). But the best thing, which you don’t hear a lot about, is that they are doing a lot great stuff for the community. Taking care of the baby turtles is just one of them - which I really recommend to do while you’re staying there!
Exceptional staff, fun and relaxed environment, close to beach. Great surf classes again very nice and helpful instructor.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Staff are so friendly and fun, the hostel is right on the beach and has everything a hostel needs. Swimming pool (with a bar), volleyball court, workout area, AC, hammocks, and the all-you-can-eat buffet every night is amazing. Forget the rest and stay at the best.
