OMG - this is a must if you are in the area. It’s worth doing a detour for this place. Make sure you stay in one of the cottages with view. We stayed in Cottage Nr 1. Which has 4 bedrooms. We had dinner and breakfast there which was delicious and brought to the house.
There is a rockpool with stunning views. The view from up there is incredible. Ponys come to the cottage and a dog as well. It is possible to do horse riding with pre booking. Firewood is available.
Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool.

We had a cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room which was very spacious and clean and had a great view on the amphitheatre. Design was nice, but nothing special. Food was very good and staff very friendly. The location is a great place for hiking tours, since you only have to drive a few kilometres to the National Park where you can make amazing hiking tours. The lodge offers a kind of flyer with detailed description of several hiking tours which was extremly helpful, since sometimes there was no internet connection on our tours.

The staff and place was amazing. The self-catering unit we stayed in was comfortable and clean. My kids absolutely loved the kids club and the various activities that were planned throughout the day for them. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious.

The resort is clean and beautiful, but not ideal for a toddler. The play area is nice but better suited to bigger kids, although the lady in charge did make many efforts to entertain our kid, she was very nice.
What an unforgettable experience! The place was not only stunning but also incredibly enjoyable for the entire family. The serene ambiance provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I must express my gratitude to the exceptional women at the Dream Explorer club. They made our time at the playhouse truly delightful and exciting. Their wonderful interaction with the kids, coupled with their ability to generate laughter, was nothing short of amazing.
Little Switzerland, another one of KZN's hidden treasures. Good value for money. Comfortable, clean and equipped accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff and management go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Buffet dinner at the restaurant was lovely. The resort facilities and hiking trails provide fun for the whole family. However the kids activity centre is in desperate need of an upgrade.
The lady at the reception was good and friendly. Process was quick and efficient. There are entertainment facilities for kids. The place is family friendly.
