Absolutely amazing staff! Melanie is a joy! The rondavels are lovely, cleaned daily and good value. I loved the outdoor shower. Inquisitive dassies visiting daily and plains game all around were a bonus. Food at the restaurant was really good. We didn’t preorder meals and arrived late without supplies, but they made a plan for us! Thank you wonderful team!

Absolutely wonderful and peaceful stay. One of the most beautiful places I've been and the cute little fishermans cottages we're perfect! Great for Braiing as well. Only thing I would note is bring more food for self-catering as the cottages are fully equipped as the restaurant food was alright.

De Hoop Collection - Village Cottages has an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a bar and tennis court in De Hoop Nature Reserve.

Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, while some rooms include a kitchen with a fridge.

The property was spacious, comfortably furnished for general living. Nicely situated and an easy walk to Restaurant, reception and pool. It was quiet and peaceful even though semi detached. Nice private area with BBQ outside. Very comfy beds and linen, shampoos etc. (even the bunk beds which I as an adult slept in) Would highly recommend it as a great place to stay in this exceptional nature reserve. All the staff we encountered were amazingly helpful and smiley. Thankyou!

De Hoop Collection - Vlei Cottages has an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, a bar and tennis court in De Hoop Nature Reserve. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Planning our - family of four - SA trip the De Hoop Nature Reserve was only by accident on our trip for a sleepover. A clear mistake, although we travelled in winter time. The Vlei Cottages were lovely. You felt to be back in another century but the cottage was fully self equipped. The baboons and ostriches passed the cottage next to its terrasse, nature begun right one step ahead outside the cottage. Nature continues a further 20 min drive to the dunes and beaches, we saw the whales, nothing else to say as awesome. Can only advise to stay min. 2 nights. We had dinner at the restaurant, gourmet level.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We signed up for the wildlife drive and the marine walk and both activities were very enjoyable. Dinner at the restaurant was incredible. Do yourself a favour and stay at least two evenings.
