The employee at the reception (Jess) was an amazing friendly person. During our whole trip we’ve not encountered anyone this friendly and helpful as she was. Our welcome was warm, kind and she was super enthusiastic!
Our stay was superb, clean rooms, comfortable beds and an amazing venue. It was an older building which had so much charm and a great vibe.

The room was large with a comfortable bed, the man at the check-in desk was lovely and it was super nice that breakfast was included for an affordable hotel like this one. There was a microwave and a large fridge in the room which was a nice touch.

There were crumbs in the bed along with what can only be described as a booger stuck to the pillow. People were smoking all around us and the large blackout blind was broken so the huge lit up sign shined into the room the entire night

Like other Tru properties we've stayed at, this one was recently and nicely refurbished, with a very updated vibe. I liked the stylish decor, and the well functioning bathroom. The breakfast was nice.
The location is amazing. You can feel safe walking at night, even as a single woman. The Gardens are a block away. Ample luxury shopping. The price is very reasonable considering it's in Back Bay. The service is impeccable. My son got hungry 10 min to 11 and they were able to get sliders up to us by 11, my son said they were the best sliders he ever ate. Very child friendly and dog friendly .
The hotel is uniquely designed, and it has been restored beautifully since I went there as a teenager with my family when it was the Americana Inn/Desmond Hotel. The restaurant was excellent and was a lifesaver during a busy weekend of graduation events. It was a relaxing and pleasant stay. The staff was terrific. I would definitely find a reason to stay there again!
