We had a great night at the homestay. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast is served on site and dinner is just a short drive away. Both were delicious. I liked everything about Motel Santaviva. The rooms are clean and large. The restaurant has a vast choice of good dishes. But most importantly, the staff is amazing! The manager Ivan is albsolutely fantastic, he was always there to accomodate any request. He is truly an amazing host who puts his soul into his job! You won't find any other hotel at this level in Kisoro. I had tried other hotels in the area and these were more expensive for way less services. I would absolutely recommend Motel Santaviva!

Gorilla Hills Eco-Lodge is a fantastic place to base your gorilla trekking adventure. The facilities are clean, comfortable, and well appointed, but what makes this place special is the staff. They are fantastic. We never wanted for anything. The service was incredibly personal and they went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure our comfort and happiness. There was quite a serious snafu with our gorilla permits and Anette and her staff bent over backwards to straighten it out for us. Without their intervention, we would have left Bwindi without seeing the gorillas. They saved our entire trip. I can't thank them enough. The gorilla trekking was absolutely the highlight of our stay in Uganda. If you are going, it is a must do - bucket list- incredible experience. That said, with total confidence, I highly recommend Gorilla Hills Eco-Lodge.
