The cottage is simply splendid. Quiet location, minutes from key crossroad for hiking. Sauna, small vine cellar, clean and cosy. The location is simply amazing, there is an amazing selection of books (only in Slovenian) and board games. Most of all, hosts are very friendly. Simply a place to go to. We visited chalet Slovenka with 3 couples and 4 kids. The stay was beyond our expectations. Uros, the host, greeted us in the valley and helped us getting up the mountain to his charming cottage. We immediately felt welcomed as we were treated with home-made liqueur and the kids got juices & candy bars. We were surprised by the amount of entertainment available for the little ones - from board games, books to disco lights. Meanwhile the adults had fun with making fire, trying out the pizza oven and enjoying the sauna. One thing that I want to point out is also that the cottage has available food & drink options, so in case you forget to get groceries before you get up the mountain you should still be perfectly okay. Ultimately, this was an amazing stay for all of us and we definitely wish to return in the future!

It really was a fairy tale. Breathtaking scenery, definitely nature at her best. The cabin was beautiful and cosy. And very well appointed. I recommend the breakfast. All local produce and enough for supper too. It was just perfect.
