Such a nice little hidden away place. Not the best if you are looking to tour the Douro but for what we wanted it was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice outdoor area to go explore the water fall. Good facilities & well equipped kitchen. Perfect place to stay with a dog. Would have been nice to stay longer. Make sure you get supplies from one of the bigger towns on the way there.

Amazing hotel like foyer with lift. location very central next to the cathedral, parking easy in the bus station next to the school behind the property. This is the most beautiful property. The staff are wonderful. The owners are warmhearted people passionate and knowledgeable about the Douro Valley and the region’s wines and port. The swimming pool was delightful, the accommodation is luxurious, the food was very good too.
