Big stone house with very special decoration, and great attention to detail, but always thinking about the comfort of the client. Wonderful living room with warm fireplace for cozy fall and winter nights. At all times the host was aware of us, facilitating our stay in the house.

Beautifully designed and decorated property. Three good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms plus huge living room and kitchen. Outdoor terrace area with dining table, sofa and BBQ. Infinity pool was very clean. Good AC and wifi. Property has amazing hillside views. Location was perfect for us - just outside a small town with lots of local walks and many day trips accessible within 1 - 2 hours. Although a quiet rural location, it is just 10 mins from the motorway so perfect for quick journeys. We ordered breakfasts (pastries, bread, fruit, juice) to be delivered from the local bakery which, at 5 euros per person, was excellent value (particularly as it was enough food for lunch as well). Free bikes during your stay. Friendly and helpful owners. Overall ... it was perfection.

What a beautiful Quinta and the land around it. The field of yellow flowers against the rusted looking metal from the building was incredible. We were offered a free room upgrade and couldn't be happier with the accommodations. It was a cold and rainy day when we arrived and they had the fire going in the common area where we could warm ourselves. The breakfast was excellent with fresh coffee, jams, bread, scrambled eggs, fresh juice and so much more! Loved talking to the owners about the history of the building and the work they put into it to make it what it is today. The icing on the cake was zip lining over the yellow field just before our departure.

Encosta do Sobreiro is easily and by far one of the best places I've ever stayed, if not the very best. The first sign of an exceptional stay came on the day before our arrival. Ms. Luisa called me to ask if we had any special request that she could help with. On the day of our stay, due to unplanned issues we arrived later than we have planned. Though I recognize this is inconvenient and should be avoided by the guests, Ms Luisa and Mr. Hugo did not complain even once. Quite the opposite. Mr. Hugo received us with a big smile! The attention to details continued: he used a disposable protector for his shoes before entering the house where we were staying. The house is fantastic. There are TVs in both rooms and a big TV in the living room. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the towels were soft and smelled really good. And, by the way, the marble floor gave it a refined look. Water pressure was fantastic even for the hot temperature. In the Kitchen you have everything you possibly need for a short and comfortable stay: pans, italian moka coffee maker, nespresso machine, microwave, oven and stove. The beds were comfortable and cozy. In the outside there are tables and chairs where I could sit for a while to sip my coffee and simply relax. The house has a fireplace but also central heater. The breakfast was great with cheese, ham, jams, milk, cereal, honey and fresh bread being delivered in the morning. I will certainly return for a longer stay to enjoy the region, unwind and relax. Ms Luisa and Mr Hugo, my family and I thank you very much for a delightful stay!
