Cerdeira - Home for Creativity houses an arts and crafts school, is hidden in Serra da Lousã and offers traditional units built in schist surrounded by an undulating landscape. These houses have been restored with ecological and regional materials. All houses have central heating and provide great comfort in winter and summer.

Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed at. You really feel at home, at night the only thing you hear is the water stream... pure lush! Everyone is very homely, the houses are very traditional but with modern features on the inside. Mind blowing

The hotel is amazing with an excellent breakfast and cocktails. Bed and pillows so comfortable you could sleep all day. What is even more amazing about this place is the staff. Always smiling, helpful and easy going in the best way. They were so helpful in helping us get our delayed luggage and also in ordering a cab early in the morning and facilitating an early breakfast so we could catch our plane. If you are ever in Lousa, you should definitely book this hotel and stay there.

The space was perfect for our family of four, and the hosts were terrific and responsive with communication. Apartment is located in a quiet location within a few minutes walk of the center of town, and we loved the pellet stove at night when the temperature is dropped. (We stayed here in December).

Located 500 metres above sea level, on the slopes of Serra da Lousã mountain, Talasnal Casa da Urze AL is part of the Talasnal schist village. This stone-built house is 6 km from Lousã Castle. Free WiFi is provided.

We felt completely immersed in nature. This lovely schist cottage is perfect for a couple. Nothing was missing. The layout was that of an open space with a very comfortable bed, a complete kitchen and a bathroom (with a shower). We spent the day exploring the hiking trails, the evening in the warmth of the wood burning stove (salamander). There is a little balcony with a spectacular view of the hills surrounding the village. From here you can also have a glass of wine or a meal enjoying the landscape and the sound of the water stream nearby. The hosts are a lovely couple. We had a few chats with Maria José, which brightened up our days. Breakfast was delicious (keep an eye out for the delightful chestnut tartlets). You can have it with the same stunning view, either indoors or outdoors.

Hard to describe in words such an amazing place , amazing houses - amazing staff . One of the best and more magical places I’ve been in this world . I can only recommend - GO - GO - GO and stay here at least once in life and experience all that this team and place have put together. Just a big hands up to everyone that put this project / hotel / village together and being keeping this space immaculately perfect .

The hosts were sooo helpful and welcoming. Very friendly with our kids. We felt at home. The location was very calm and we slept like babies… The gym was well furnished and the pool very calm (except when my kids were there 😂). The breakfast was high quality. Wonderful owners! Very comfortable stay, after the mountain walk. The beds were great; everything was clean and cozy, we enjoyed a cute garden with visiting cats. The house was larger than I expected. The kitchen was also larger than expected and well equipped, suitable for cooking for a family, if you are inclined. The owners produce honey from mountain flowers. We've got heather honey- mmm- delicious

The breakfast was delicious. Fresh and local food prepared with love and care. Homemade cake, jams, and delicious cheeses from the region. The freshly squeezed orange juice, as well as the scrambled eggs. The room was very well decorated, we stayed in the Paris room and we loved it! Everyone was very kind and thoughtful. The fact that it's a family business made the experience even better. We loved it!
