A place in heaven. So quiet, so peaceful. The view is one of the best things I have ever seen in my life. The meals prepared by the family were simple, but very delicious and we were really looking forward to them. I recommend this place, just be sure make a left turn after stop no.4, on the map they send to, off road to avoid getting lost like us :)

Mario’s home is amazing, super cute and very clean. It is located very close to Taquile’s main square. Mario and his wife Juliana are the best host ever. Juliana helped us to bring our luggage uphill to their home. She was so helpful and strong! Mario also showed us the island around and both cooked nice dinner/breakfast for us. The rooms are basic but extremely clean and very cozy. We slept very well at night and enjoyed a lot our stay with Mario and Juliana!

Edwin was super helpful and caring so I could arrive the accomodation without any problem. Views were astonishing and the peace was out of this world. Food was nice too.
They gave me a better room than the one I booked because they had it free for that night.

The family Celso was very kind. We stayed 2 nights at their place and we learned a lot about their culture. The food was amazing and the location very beautiful.
It was one of our most beautiful places in Peru. I really recommend to stay in this house on the island and not only for one night. ;) The food was great, the view from our room amd from the garden was amazing and Edwin with his family is really nice host. The island has a specific energy, what we really enjoyed. It is very calm and clean there. One day I will come back to spend a couple of days in this wonderfull place. Thank you very much!
The family is so nice ! It was a really immersion in the community and the family! We learned so much about the Taquile island, the community, the daily life. Food is great ! No tourists after 3pm so you have the island for you and have a little hike to discover the rest of the island.
Edwin and his whole family were extremely welcoming. He gave us all the info needed to get to the island and met us at the ferry point.
The place is beautiful and so tranquil. The room was very good, with beautiful views of the lake. We even got to see the sunrise from our bed.
The food was also very good.
Loads of walks to do around the island.
Perfect place to disconnect, wished we could have stayed longer.
