The hosts provided a little extra - cereals, milk, butter and bread. This was a great addition, as it was unexpected. The facilities were clean, there were some games put out in the lounge to encourage interaction within families or with other guests. Heaters were provided to keep the house and/or rooms warm. Location made it easy to access surrounding shops by foot. Very friendly hosts.

Our room was very cosy with free wifi and netflix. We had a dinner in the next door restaurant, and would recommend it, the food was delicious! Our family also enjoyed free breakfast in a shared kitchen, which was well equipped an organized.

This lodge is really like being home from home. The host Philip and his family make you feel very welcome. The room is spacious and well equipped along with a fabulous en suite bathroom c/w a little nightlight. The family live in a separate property adjacent so guests can use the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. Breakfast was substantial and included some very tasty home made food stuffs. This lodge would have made an ideal base for several days.

A nice quiet spot, plenty of room, close to the river for a swim. The owner was willing to drop the price a little bit when one of our family couldn't make it.

Loved the closeness to town and our friends who lived in the area. Nice sized cabin and good value for money. Friendly staff when we chatted on the phone. Generally tidy and family friendly area. Cute pet cat that hung around that the kids thought was the bees knees.

The location was perfect, a great break on a very long drive. Super helpful proprietors, and very accommodating for our late check-in. The suites are really new, well-cleaned, and spacious. Really great to have a family suite option for 3 kids without having to deal with annoying roll-out beds! Walking distance to find a coffee in the morning. A lovely small rural town with friendly people.
