Can not say enough about this place. Love the staff/owners. They treat you like family not like customers. Mingma, Dinesh, Lakhpa and Bhumika went above and beyond for us. When we arrived, Mingma greeted us warmly and gave us aromatic hibiscus tea which was very much appreciated after our long trek from Lukla. The heated blankets at night were so welcome. It was so nice slipping into a warm bed after a long day of trekking. The food was great and my favorite was the hot chocolate that the charming and beloved Dinesh created daily. Not only did it taste great but was always a visual masterpiece. On our last night Lakhpah and Mingma created a traditional Nepalese feast for us. We felt so honored and it was amazing. Esp loved the salted yak butter tea. Wow-who knew!!! We did not do EBC trek like most. We stayed for 6 lovely days and immersed ourselves in Namche. We did day treks from there. Mingma even took us for a hike to an incredible viewpoint where you could see all the mountains. It was magical and we loved getting to know the beautiful people, the town of Namche and the surrounding areas. The day treks were off the charts beautiful. Also loved the Yeti scalp in Khumjung. Khumjung also had the best bakery in the middle of town. Best cookies ever!!! Mingma in an incredible person. He is always available. He took care of trekkers that were not feeling well, helped people arrange all kinds of things and answered my numerous questions. He takes care of his guests and his town. He is involved in many projects including healthcare, education and animal welfare. If you ever want to give back to this town, that gave us so much, see Mingma. This place will live in our hearts forever. Thank you so much for a once in a lifetime experience.
