Prachtig authentiek woonschip uit 1912, 15 minuten van Amsterdam, hotel in Heemskerk

Located in Wormer, Prachtig authentiek woonschip uit 1912, 15 minuten van Amsterdam provides accommodation with a heated pool, a terrace and lake views.

The space we rented is the old living quarter of the skipper on a vintage barge, including the wheelhouse, which is turned into a pleasant comfortable veranda. There is a nice living room and an intimate, comfortable bedroom, so pleasant to stay in. The view over the Zaan canal, to the old city is charming. One can park the car just in front of the gangway, which is a plus. We came to the Netherlands, especially for this barge and we did like it as an experience. The owners were so pleasant to deal with, always reachable on the phone and so helpful during our stay. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Fisherman's Cottage - Surf Retreat, hotel in Heemskerk

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Fisherman's Cottage - Surf Retreat provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

My recent stay at this beachfront cottage in Wijk aan Zee was a delightful experience. The tastefully decorated interiors, comfortable bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen made it a cozy retreat. The proximity to the beach and the option to rent surfboards added a touch of adventure, while the convenience of on-site services like massages and catering enhanced the overall stay. Highly recommend for a balanced mix of relaxation and seaside enjoyment.

Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin, hotel in Heemskerk

Its unique location at 40 metres atop a dune and right on the coast makes the renovated Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin an iconic landmark in Wijk aan Zee/North Holland.

The Hotel self, is beautiful.. breath taking. Modern design, amazing style, perfect location. BUT!!! 4* hotel and cleaning servis in our room did almost nothing, just they took care about bed and thats it. In room was PAPER cup, for drinking tea/coffee. After 10min what we made tea, cups were wet from outside and was impossible to drink from them anymore. After cleaning servis was done, they did not refill new teas, even not new cups so I was angry asking on the reception for new glasses/cups. I am travelling a lot and in many hotels or apartments, the servis was never so bad as here. As I said, hotel is tip top but servis and personal, terrible! And I must say we have been there from 23-26.8 and friday (23) +saturday(24.8), tall blond girl on reception (probably evening shift) she was the worst one there. Gave to us wrong room, what we figure it out later, when we checked the booking, said that booking made some mistakes and excuses which were not even logical, she gave to us 30€ back because we booked landview room and we got basic room with parking view 🙄already since beggining she was unfriendly to us, I dont know if she doesnt like us, cause we are from other country as from NL, but I hope some manager from hotel will read this reviews and talk with her about her behaviour. Sunday evening, dinner time…. 10min waiting for waitress-minimum 10x they passed us and smile to us, nobody came… than we started to eat, in general after 20-25min they came.. while we finished our first round of eating, than finally ordered drinks, believe me or not, restaurant at sunday evening was not busy, just few tables and after all big drama we were again waiting 8min to get water and wine. Ach… So manager, or even owner of the hotel.. you have beautiful hotel, perfect location, but must do something with personal. This I think can not happen in 4* hotel, where night cost you almost 100€ per person! Must say, kitchen and food was super delicious, they deserve all stars.

The location was scenic and quiet. The room very cozy, functional with very nice beds + bedding, coffee & thee and a very nice ensuite bathroom, all new! Ohja and the breakfast was delicious with fresh bread rolls and everything you need on top and a pritty cannister with yoghurt and fresh fruit. Freshly squeezed orange jus completed it all. Very nice!

The location was very convenient to go to the beach and travel into Amsterdam. After asking a staff member what was the best way to get to the city, she suggested going to Utigeest and parking at the train station for free and there is a direct train that takes 29 mins. The garden in the back was beautiful and so was the interior decoration. Breakfast was just what our family needed.

It was an incredible experience. I imagined that the whole castle was mine. This was not difficult, because the size of the castle allows residents to rarely intersect. I will not describe all the delights of living in a castle; I will highlight only a few. Excellent sound insulation, comfortable mattresses and pillows, good hot water pressure. Very pleasant bed linen. At night the castle is heated a little, but this is unnecessary. The temperature is very comfortable
