Spacious room with coffee maker and small fridge, which was great because my husband is on a special diet for health reasons and so we could store the fruit and veg that we need to take wherever we go. We were given a room next to the road at first and at the end of a long corridor, which was difficult for my husband, whose walking is severely impaired. When we asked to change, we were promptly given a room that had a terrace door towards the inner court yard, thereby avoiding the noise from the street and offering a shortcut for my husband between the car and the room.
The walk-in shower is easily accessible for people with restricted mobility.

Good price/performance ratio if you need place for sleepover for night. Not a superb honeymoon place :-) but it has beds and clean sheets although the hotel and its equipment shows wornout. Elevator is not working btw and probably never will, but the hotel has only 2 floors.

The property is amazing. It’s spacious and all staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. It’s got a lovely lounge where you can have cakes coffees / drinks (cakes are 10/10).
The rooms are very nice too.
The restaurant is lovely, but in my opinion the variety of food isn’t that great.
The spa is also very nice, however it seems that the jacuzzi was not working when we went. So we didn’t get to go in the jacuzzi. But the pool and saunas are very nice.

We ate at five restaurants in town and all were very good; however, La Dolce Vita at Bachplein 5 really stands out. This is a small, quiet restaurant without any fancy atmosphere type decorations - just excellent food, in appropriately sized portions - not mega-sized - and at very reasonable prices. We took our bikes with us and did a lot of riding around the town and the country side. The Museum of Beach Finds just outside of Castricum, about 4-5km from Heemskerk is a must see place.

We cycled and were tired when we got there. I wish we’d booked our evening meal before hand as we were too late to do so when we got there and had to walk to the village. Although we ate at the near by Chinese all you can eat (and drink) buffet (called Delight) which was very easy!
Firstly, exceptional hosts. So friendly and accommodating. The apartments are attached to the fabulous family bakery/cafe, where a very enjoyable breakfast is served. It's hard to leave without buying a few local treats.
Very modern and spacious apartment with all facilities. Loved our stay in Heemskerk!
it was really close to the Big bazaar and only 30 Minutes away from Amsterdam central by car. The hotel looks beautiful outside and the reception and dining/breakfast room were pretty too. We enjoyed our breakfast there and were glad that the parkings were free.
The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. We were happy to rent a bike for a day to discover the town of Heemskerk and the beach. The accomodation is stunning, the garden and the castle as well.
Beautiful hotel in wonderful surroundings. Delicious and varied breakfast. The room was clean and elegant, the bathtub in the bathroom stole my heart ❤️
