Nilowin Glenanore Guesthouse, hotel in Haputale

Wonderful Guesthouse a little bit outside of Haputale. The room has stunning views and the house is located just about 5minutes drive from Haputale railway. You can go on hikes and strolls from the house to the area and it is awesome. If you want to escape the packed and touristy playe Ella, you should definately go there. Shan, the host, helps you to arrange everything you'd like to do according to your preference. The breakfast was great and all the staff is very friendl and helpful. we should have stayed longer!

Rosenka haputhale, hotel in Haputale

Rosenka haputhale is situated in Haputale, 30 km from Nuwara Eliya and 8 km from Bandarawela. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area for your convenience.

Jagath is the most helpful and friendly host. And what he can’t offer, he hands over to his wife. She’s the powerhouse in the kitchen. What a meal! We had dinner on both nights. So delicious and exciting to see the food on the table. What a treat. There’s no WiFi here, so bring your own data, or ignore your phone and rather focus on the view. If mosquitos are a problem, Jagath will provide a net. We slept so well, and we visited twice in two weeks. Can definitely recommend this Homestay. We’ll be back!

Il Villino haputale, hotel in Haputale

Situated in Haputale and only 44 km from Gregory Lake, Il Villino haputale features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The setting of this guesthouse is superb with incredible views. You’d be hard pressed to get better. The owner is extremely welcoming. He is very knowledgeable and he had some good recommendations of what to do in the area. We enjoyed breakfast very much and we had a Sri Lankan dinner as well which was very good. We felt very welcome. The rooms are fairly basic and there are a lot of steps to get down to the property although none of this concerned us. We enjoyed trips to Lipton Seat and to some local waterfalls. We also chose this guesthouse so we could do the train trip from Haputale to Hatton and back - the station was a 5 minute walk so very convenient.

We loved the location just outside of Haputale. We had a large bedroom with two large comfortable beds which was perfect for my husband and I and our two children. Breakfast was good and we did an excellent and fun cookery class, followed by a delicious eating the things we cooked. Can walk straight from the door. We did a couple of beautiful stages of the Pekoe trail. It’s a good base for visiting the area. Whilst there as well as visitors to tea factory and Nuwara Eliya amd Horton’s plains.

Everything. The family are exceptional.lovely adults and children make the stay unique.the view from the room is unbelievable and addictive. The ultra comfy beds make sleeping sooo good. Breakfast options are great and you can tailor them to your likes. We've done a couple of trips to sri lanka and taken time to drive our jeep to roads less travelled. I've definitely rate this as the best value place we've ever stayed in. It was so sad to leave which is the ultimate compliment

Most of all the family running the guesthouse. Everyone were so kind, and helpful in any way possible. We had such a great and fun stay. We did the cooking class, highly recommended, don’t miss out. We stayed 4 days and had all our meals there. They are doing really great cooking. After 8 weeks travelling in Sri Lanka the last year, we never had anything but good experiences, but this guesthouse is now our favourite, first of all because of the genuinely warmhearted family.

Nilowin is an incredible guesthouse, we had a family room and it was huge well two massive beds, a very large bathroom and stunning views across the whole valley. The room was immaculate and breakfast delicious and enormous! But best of all are the owners who are the kindest hosts and bent over backwards to help us with everything. We did their brilliant cooking class and our two children loved chopping and getting involved, the food was absolutely delicious! We also did a tea factory tour which was fascinating.

We liked the place very much. The family who runs it is so friendly and generous. Unfortunately both our children got sick during our stay but we had a lot of help to go to doctor etc. The family really tries to give you a little extra help so that your stay will be pleasant. The rooms are basic but clean. The wiews are stunning (if it is not raining...) The food is excellent!

Very nice guesthouse run by a local family. Naleef, the owner is a very knowledgeable person that will you teach you many things about Sri Lanka but not only! Nice place for families as Naleef has a family himself and they live in the same place. Nice view, quiet place and amazing breakfast !! We had all our dinners there and we highly recommend as we had great local food. There are anyway not many options for dinner in Haputale.
