We had an absolutely amazing stay in Ahu Bay. We decided to end up our honeymoon spontaneously at the beach, so we were looking for a nice place in the surrounding of the airport, which is at the beachside and not a big hotel. And so Ahu Bay was definitely the right choice. It is a wonderful, modern and small hotel with delicious food and an almost private beach (at least in off season). The staff was super friendly and very attentive. Our room was big and we had the best rain shower we have ever had. And on top of that we had the perfect view over the ocean. Ahu Bay wants to save turtles. So there were baby turtles hatching out exactly when we were staying there. And in the evening hours they enabled us to let one of those one day old baby turtles go into the big ocean. That was an incredible feeling and you could see that also every single Ahu Bay employee was happy to watch that and maybe our baby turtle is the one out of thousand baby turtles that in 25 years will come back to this beach and will but their eggs on this beach.

The host gave a lot of advice and accompanied us to different places such as the mask museum and sea turtle rescue center
they listened to our issues for the breakfast and they cooked whatever we wanted with no hesitation
he even helped us to find some taxi for arugam bay and other cities after the staying in the villa

When I saw the reviews I was curious because they were just too good. We still tried it for 3 nights and it was even better than we expected and even better than the reviews.
